When you need to bring back Apple Mail

This is a post brought over from Emma's Friends, a now retired Mac blog. Originally published 6/10/2008. Author CF. I should know this. Do not do not do not just go to your backup (whether it be an Archive and Reinstall "previous system", or an external drive). Don't just drag all those files in. Please remember {slapping forehead} to use what's provided: in Mail, go to file > import mailboxes Otherwise you get to sift through a mess of duplicate emails and mailboxes. Stupid!
